Diplomat Mission
GLOBAL DENVER® Diplomats "prospect" for non-Colorado based businesses and investors to relocate to the State of Colorado and to remember "First Choice: Denver!" in their strategic plans. . During conversations and transactions with non-Colorado friends, clients and suppliers, Global Denver® Diplomats may gather valuable information regarding non-Colorado companies' and individuals' business plans, expansion and growth. Typically, Global Denver® Diplomats ask prospects:
1. Is your company considering expansion and growth into the Rocky Mountain region?
2. Does relocating or expanding into the State of Colorado and Denver make sense for your business?
3. May the City of Denver or Colorado Economic Development officials contact you about:
a. Employment incentives and investment tax credits available for Colorado companies?
b. Colorado's low unemployment and workers compensation rates?
c. Colorado's youthful, enthusiastic, educated and high quality workforce?
d. Colorado's abundant and low-cost energy?
e. Colorado's industrial sites and commercial real estate?
f. Global Denver, Inc. business finance and advisory services?
g. Denver International Airport?

GLOBAL DENVER® Diplomat Responsibilities
1. Represent, unofficially, the State of Colorado and City of Denver and personally contact non-Colorado business leaders in order to interest them in establishing or expanding their business into Denver and the State of Colorado.
2. Make oneself available to act as a host to commercial prospects and special visitors when they visit the state, then assist to make their visit to Colorado happy and productive.
3. Make oneself available to undertake special assignments in economic development promotion for Colorado, at one's personal expense.
4. Assume the responsibility of making a minimum of six personal calls to non-Colorado business leaders and entrepreneurs during each year of appointment.
5. Agree that appointment as a Global Denver® Diplomat shall be for a period of five years and also agree that re-appointment for five additional years shall be automatic, unless the Global Denver® Diplomat Board of Directors recommends otherwise.
6. Accept the commitment to pay annual dues established by the Global Denver® Diplomats Board of Directors.

GLOBAL DENVER® Diplomats' Commitment
The following Application for Participation outlines the responsibilities of a GLOBAL DENVER® Diplomat. By agreeing to these terms, a member personally demonstrates the leadership qualities, ethics and commitment to assist the City of Denver and the State of Colorado, unofficially, to become a global leader in economic development and success. I, ___________________________________, upon acceptance of participation as Global Denver® Diplomat, agree to accept, in full, the following responsibilities:
Represent, unofficially, the State of Colorado and City of Denver and personally contact business leaders in order to interest them in establishing or expanding their business into the State of Colorado.
Make myself available to act as host to commercial prospects and special visitors when such people visit the state, and assist to make their visit to Colorado happy and productive.
Make myself available to undertake special assignments in economic development promotion for Colorado, at my own expense, both within and outside the state.
Assume the personal responsibility of making a minimum of six personal calls on business leaders and entrepreneurs during each year of my appointment.
Agree that my apppointment as a Global Denver® Diplomat shall be for a period of five years. I also agree that re-appointment for an additional five years shall be automatic, unless the Global Denver® Diplomat Board of Directors recommends otherwise.
Accept the commitment to pay annual dues established by the Global Denver® Diplomats Board of Directors.
Agree to pay the new and annual participation fees of $25.
